Question: have had unexplained lower abdominal pain for five days. It might be stressed muscles from a hard bowel movement. Since then the movements were not hard but pain persisted but at lower intensity. Pain occurs when standing up  or sometimes when just sitting down.  A few hours before the cramping/ pain started., I experienced  several short stabs of pain shooting from groin area to right side then stopping.( sort of like tic deuloureux would be if in groin). They only last a hour or so and quit. three or four hours later the pain/cramps started..Now just a dull pain in lower front of abdomen / groin area

Brief Answer:
It could be Musculoskeletal pain

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Pain which occurs in relation to Body movements could be due to Musculoskeletal cause.
Inside the Abdomen, bowel movements/peristalsis is common. They may be painful in infections. If there is no Abdominal distension, Vomiting or Constipation, then nothing to worry.Bowel related issues are ruled out. But,if bowel movements are painful and associated with Constipation/diarrhoea then Irritable bowel syndrome has to be considered.
I prescribe skeletal muscle relaxant tablet Thiocolchicoside
to my patients with similar complaints. If there is no response,I start treatment for Irritable bowel syndrome.
Nothing to worry.
If possible, consult a doctor and get an Ultrasound abdomen to rule out any pathology.
Hope I answered your query. If you have any questions,I will clarify further.
